Justin Rowe farms alongside his wife Corinne and brother Tanner on their family’s century farm near Dallas Center. The family’s top priority is animal welfare, because well-cared-for animals lead to safe, nutritious and wholesome products that are high in protein, iron and vitamins.
The Rowe’s are also passionate about sustainability and efficiency on their farms. After all, each head of cattle eats 38-40 pounds of feed and drinks 25-30 gallons of water each day, so they use their resources to their benefit whenever they can. For example, they use cattle manure to fertilize their row crops, which in turn feeds their cattle. Talk about reduce, reuse, recycle!
