In January 2010, the world focused its cameras and its attention to the island of Haiti and the massive devastation created there by a 7.0 earthquake.
Hundreds of thousands were killed. And an untold number of Haitians left homeless.
Today, the living conditions in the Port au Prince area remain mostly grim. Despite an outpouring of international aid, help is still needed. More than 600,000 Haitians are still living under tarps and in tent cities. Poverty and hopelessness are rampant.
